Restaurant & Bar Duty Manager
Seeking enthusiastic motivated Duty managers to join us on our food & wine journey and the heart of the renowned Marlborough wine region.
As Restaurant & Bar Duty Manager at Harvest Restaurant, you will manage the day to day operations of the restaurant and bar to ensure an extraordinary dining experiences for our guests. Your management responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: - Rostering of the Bar and Beverage team. - Greeting and welcoming guests with warmth and genuine hospitality. - Guiding guests through the menu, making recommendations, taking orders and ensuring their dining preferences are met. - Provide smooth & an elevated service level supporting the team where necessary.
- Assisting guests with any inquiries, dietary requirements, or special requests and assisting in planning of special events across the estate. - Maintaining a thorough knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including local and international wines and cocktails. - Ensuring the restaurant and team is/are presentable at all times and is aligned to the positioning of Harvest and The Marlborough. - Collaborating with kitchen, restaurant and bar staffto ensure smooth and efficient service and provide feedback to Management on all food & beverage & service elements.
- Train Junior team members in regards to sequence of service as per SOP's for Harvest and The Marlborough - Ensure that all Sale & Supply of Alcohol, Host Responsibility & health and safety guidelines are met at all times.
Requirements: To succeed in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- LCQ certificate & current Managers License with excellent experience in food and beverage service or provide evidence of this level of experience in a customer-facing role - min 3 years.
- A genuine passion for providing exceptional customer service and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with guests and team members.
- A proactive and positive attitude with the ability to work well in a team environment. - Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and tidy dining areas.
- Knowledge of food, beverage & wine service, including an eagerness to learn more about local beer, wines and cocktails, estate and regional produce that Harvest is renowned for.
